Admission costs

We are a family of 4 people and the admission cost for various sites can add up pretty fast.

Is there anything like family discount or coupons that will be available?

Thanks

There are usually big discounts for children and in many museums they can get in free.

Thanks. My children are much older and are above 18 years of age but they are still in school.

Have you checked out Articket? If you are visiting included sites it offers some deals.

There are also lots of things you can do as a family that don't cost--Park Guell is very worthwhile, and doesn't cost a dime. (But bring your own food, as the vendors there are pretty awful)

Also the magic fountain at Montjuic has free concerts in the evening that are absolutely fabulous. None of the churches charge admission. (well, except Gaudi's Familia) Walking through Barri Gottico is free, as is Rambla and the seaside.

Just choose the paid sites carefully. I was very impressed with La Palau Musica Catalan, and Casa Batllo, which was pricey, but worth it.

hi,

if your children are students, perhaps they should wear theirs students cards (school card or similar)in order to show they are students, in some museum there are discounts for students (under 25 ) or (another solution) they shoud buy (in your country ) an student international card:

but I think that at school card it coul be enough

sundance, On the right side of this page you will see FAQ. Right at the top is one about the BEST Sights to see. IF you read that then you can decide what looks interesting to you. There are MANY choices and each has different prices. So when you know what interests you then you can ask about the price.

SOME like Parc Guell and the Magic Fountain are free.

IF you buy a ticket for the hop on hop off bus it will also give you some discounts for sights but everyone likes different things so you'll have to do a bit of reading.

Hi, MNAC - the National Art Museum overlooking the Magic Fountains on Montjuich does do a FAMILY ticket.. And CosmoCaixa - the fabulous science museum also offers reduced priced tickets (2 euros each) for "familias numerosas y grupos"

Remember the CaixaForum, just along the road from MNAC and the Magic Fountains (free) is also FREE admission.

Fundación Joan Miro, not so very far from MNAC, also does reduced priced tickets for groups dependng on size and mix of group.

The gallery in La Pedrera, always worth a visit, is also FREE.

The maritime Museum in Drassanes also offers a range of discounts for admission, e.g. students under 26 - 50% reduction.

And I know both CCCB and MACBA offer discounts.
