They are all crap and they are very expensive too in Barcelona. If I was forced to choose one, I'd choose the Fastnet bar by the harbour. Not near SF tho'! There are loads of decent bars around there, Bar Ardevol is 2 mins away and good.

Tend to avoid them like the plague but we went to one in Barri Gotic on Escudellers (Ryans?) to catch the Rugby World Cup and it wasn't too dreadful. Even had an Irish barman. Seemed to be a regular haunt of some of the Castellers of Barcelona as well and there was a Diada in Pca de Sant Jaume that day so there were a few in there in costume that day, which probably helped. There are so many much better bars, though.

I'd agree with Slatkin, the Michael Collins (just beside the Sagrada Familia) is one of the better Irish bars in BCN, or " The Quiet Man" by the Ramblas.

Would second the Michael Collins bar..It`s on the other side of the little park if your standing at the front entrance of the Sagrada Familia. Seems to be popular with both locals and ex -pats alike. Most of the staff are native Irish and have a wonderful knowledge of the city....The pub grub`s not bad either

Pints of lager around E4.00

Enjoy Barcelona
