Should we stay in the City or by the airport

We land in Barcelona on a Tuesday at 10a,... and we leave on wednesday at 7pm...

We want to see as much as possible in the city.. Is is best if we stay a hotel more int he center of the city or should we stay near the airport...

How far away is the airport from the city? thanks!

It's about a 20-30 min taxi ride (or bus ride) to city centre.

Do stay in the city, not near the airport. There is no hotel actually at the terminal so it's really the worst of all worlds staying in a hotel "near the airport" because none of them is all that near.

I agree with Lynda. Stay in town.

There IS a small hotel in Terminal 1, Air Rooms. It's not very big and its services are limited (it's inside the Business Centre) so few people know about it.

I have a rule. Never ever stay in a hotel by the airport when you are near a great, vibrant city. Read my hotel review of Hotel Daytona in Naples to see what can happen.
