Really Short Trip

We will be arriving from morroco by plane on 2nd may afternoon n will be leaving for madrid on the 3rd may 11.00 pm by bus. Can u advise us :

1. Best place to stay (area, safe)

2. Must visit in a short period of time

3. Must buy or do in the city

The town center is the Plaza de Catalunya. Look for a hotel near it.

The must see is the Sagrada Familia Basilica. Book it to avoid the long queue.

That rather depends on what you mean by"near". If you mean the bus station at Estacio de Nord then it's not a huge distance but maybe further than I would want to walk with heavy bags. Should distance from the bus station influence my decision whether or not to see Sagrada familia if I'm already in Barcelona? Certainly not.
