Any tips for seeing Catalunya en Miniatura ?

Their web site http://www.catalunyaenminiatura.com/ seems pretty informative, about prices and getting there and so forth. Anyone have any tips or anything ? Thanks.

Hi Bill,

It's like many other 'miniature worlds' around the world -have you been in http://www.minieurope.com/ in Brussels for example? It's ideal for visiting with children. As an adult it's indeed all right but I'd probably be low in my bucket list as there are plenty of other more thrilling stuff to do/see elsewhere. Next to Catalunya en Miniatura -actually, it's run by a related company- there's something called Bosc Animat, a sort of adventure park in the middle of the woods: infocatalonia.eu/w/… and very often a typical family visit does include a stop there to.

Both sites are outside Barcelona, in Torrelles de Llobregat, some 20 miles from the city. You can reach it by train+local bus or by bus from Barcelona, if the latter (maybe more comfy), you may take a bus from the Soler i Sauret company, line 62. It departs from Carrer Riera Blanca, corner of Travessera de les Corts in Barcelona. From the arrival stop, there is a five minutes walk to the park.

For this departure point I've market the approximate spot in Google Maps http://bit.ly/1nk2lU4 -don't take it literally, might not be nbr 3, but the stop is there somewhere! As you can see it's next to the Nou Camp stadium and you can reach that via metro, getting off at Collblanc (Blue line L5) then walking a bit.

Lastly, Soler i Sauret is a small private transport company. Their website is not in English only in Catalan but you don't really need it. What you need to know is that buses depart from Barcelona at 7:45 and every 60' Mon-Sat and at 9:00 and every 60' on Sundays. The journey takes an hour and returns from Torrelles are also hourly at 5 to the hour Mon-Sat and at 10 past on Sundays and holidays. Tickets are bought on board and it's recommended to be at the stop 10-15 minutes earlier. In any case, their phone is +34 93 632 51 33 9am-2pm and 4pm-7pm and the page with the schedules is: solerisauret.com/transport-urba-i-interurba/… You want "Horaris a/des de St. Vicenç dels Horts, Torrelles de Ll.,Sta. Coloma de C. i St. Boi de LL" and press 'descarrega' (download)
