Barcelona terminal 2C: is it always infested with Mosquetoes

Have others found Barcelona terminal 2C infested with Mosquitoes? We had a evening flight in June and waited watching ourselves and the other passengers being slowly eaten alive. The ladies toilet was especially bad. We had repellent, but after spending three days in Barcelona and not meeting a single one we were not prepared to meet them in the airport.

Short answer. No.

We were also there in June for 5 hours. I didn't see any. My partner said there were a lot around the ladies toilets.

As in many parts of the world the airport is built in a flat place. Either side of BCN there are ponds, marshes and reedbeds. I'm afraid these tend to have large numbers of insects and mosquitoes are dependent on water.
