AVOID Perla Tours for your transfer

When you book your holiday whatever you do DO NOT get transfered by Perla tours.

When we arrived at the airport we were sat waiting fo an hour and a half for the transfer bus to turn up "we didnt know anyone was waiting" was the reply when we rang them to find out where they were.Coming back was even worse, the flight info sheet in our hotel WITH our names on said that we had to "Be out side of the hotel at 3am" this was for a 10am flight back to the UK ...................... 7 HOURS BEFORE THE FLIGHT..........................

So when the driver arrived and our names weren't on his list, he initially wasn't prepared to take us,we had to beg him...can you imagine being stranded at 3am an hour from the airport ...the best of it was when we got back the travel agent that we booked it with NEXTESCAPE said in a letter to us that " we appreciate that you were disappointed with the services provided by them"..and thats from their customer services .....thats a laugh....we haven't had any customer service ......so in a nutshell,Think carefully if you book your holiday with NEXTESCAPE and as the header above says

we arrived at Girona 3 hours late because of delayed flight. There was mo perla agent so rang emerency nos only to be told it was our fault and to get a taxi, bearing in mind this was at 2.30 in morning. If it was not for the Thomson rep SIMON we would have been stranded. So dont have a delayed flight at night course Perla tours dont care

You pay the minimum rate for transfers to your destination from the airport and if your flight is delayed for 3 hours then the transfer company is not obliged to wait for you. You should read your terms and conditions when booking. I really do not know what you people expect.....Alonso with a limosine!!!!

any decent company would provide a service for their clients no matter what time they arrived. the client may have to wait for the next available transfer, which is what happened to us after our flight was delayed, (we were not with perla tours) but we had a bus waiting for us. we know we only pay for a shuttle service and not a limosine....... but we still got a bus provided for us, perhaps perla tours could buy a donkey and cart at least there would be something waiting for delayed clients

I personally have used Perla Tours on many occasions over the past 4 years throughout many different Spanish airports without a problem. It always states on my transfer voucher that if your flight is delayed (when you have booked a shuttle service, not private) then, you will be offered the next available shuttle however, if there is no next available shuttle then unfortunately you have to make your own way. I use this type of transfer as they are very cost effective and you cannot blame any transfer company for flights delays which are totally outwith their control. I do not agree with your comments and find them quite unnecessary.

i disagree with you, you started the sarcastic remarks i just carried on. i think people should know what perla are like. i travel to girona airport several times a year, and the 1 and only time i used perla tours was 2 years ago. my flight was not delayed, my wife and our 5 yr old daughter arrived and waited to be met. there were other company reps there and 1 kind lady helped us by phoning the emergency number. she was told the bus was on its way and to wait in the terminal. we waited and waited and waited some more. i have to say we were not the only people waiting. we arrived at girona at 21.00 more or less from the london standsted flight. we were still waiting at 00.30. after several phone calls and being told the bus is on the way, and after several phone calls not being answered as we are sure they just recognised our number. a bus turned up at 01.25 and the driver told us that perla tours only phoned him 20 mins before, he was asleep in his bed. so sarcastic comments aside, this is what you would call a good service for the price.

in your words......... get real

I often use Shuttle Direct too and apart from one hiccup a few years back, they are pretty good. Trouble is they use local agents who can be of variable quality like waiting for an hour on the coach for other flights to arrive, or doing a scenic tour of the Costa Brava before getting to my apartment.

I came back from Blanes a few days back and had a shuttle booked from there to Girona airport. I was looking for a coach, but a car turned up on time, and took me alone to the airport. That is good service.
