HAPPY EASTER TO EVERYONE

Easter Week Holiday

My Easter Week Holiday to Gerona/Costa Brava.

We Flying with Ryanair naturaly from Malta...

I have planned my own Holiday this time going on our own.

Any tips or info that one can give me, that may can help me will be very welcome.

I have already spend a week in Llorett De Mar in Easter of 2005 so i know a bit on around the area.

Can anyone tell me if in around the place we can find a City/Village/Cathedral which have the holy week statues.Or those which celebrates Holy Week/Easter.

Anyway I wish all those traveling for this easter week a blessed and great holiday.

hi,

one of the most import parade are the parade of Friday on Girona..

Others places:

Verges , a little village , very very important and famous for it's Death's Dance (thursday). See on (also in english):

www.laprocesso.com

Also :

Banyoles (beautiful village with the biggest lake in catalonia) and with a famous parade "dels Dolors" on the friday before Palm sunday:

www.banyoles.cat/controller.php…

I'm sure that there are a lot of others village with parade but I think that this is the most famous and complete.

hi,

Girona city to Lloret with public transport???

ufff!! great problem!!! the parade start at 22h!!

Before this hour, there are a minor events as :for instance at 20h the "manaies" (roman soldiers) wear the manaies'flag from the house of one of them (it's a great honour has the flag) to the "manaies" house....

but the parade starts at 22h at the cathedral!!!

(and I see that the last bus go to lloret at 20h30!!)

(this friday is non-working day)

The procession sounds interesting - is it too far for those staying in Barcelona?
