Hotel Recommendations

Hi,

Considering going to Sitges for a 5 night stay in Sept with my b/f. Could anyone recommend any accommodation? We're ideally looking for somewhere close to the beach with a pool for under £100 p/n but obviously willing to compromise a bit.

We're a straight couple so not looking for a hotel that's particularly catered for the gay party scene (have absolutely no problem with anyone's sexuality but thought it was worth mentioning as some hotels may be more geared to this market than others in Sitges)

Any recommendations most welcome :)

Xxx

The older hotels down on Passeig de la Ribera don't have pools, but the beach is just across the road. Try this one.

Try the Melia hotel its about 15 mins way out from sitges but its a lovely 4 star hotel with a great outdoor pool and caters more for couples and families. You can also get deals for this hotel on alpha rooms or lastminute - have stayed at this hotel twice in the past and was very happy with the quality of service....enjoy sitges its a lovely place to visit :-)

Hotel Platjador - nice hotel but very expensive, think you might struggle to a room there for under £100 a night - better of staying at the Melia in my opinion better value for money

We recently stayed at the Melia for 2 nights & loved it. The outdoor pool area is great with plenty of bed, s towel hut & outdoor shower. There is a lovely beach & marina area down the hill. Stay b & b and wander into town 4 dinner. Some people have commented about walking but it is a pleasant stroll. Use trivago to get best price.

The Melia is a bit of a hike from the town centre, particularly at night.

A lot of it depends what budget you have and what you're looking for. I use either Alpharooms or Roomsnet andI would guess you can get the Platjador for somewhere between £60 - £80 per night in September as we normally go in early October and pay around £40 per night for a twin room. Having stayed at numerous hotels throughout the year, I think the best all round is The Platjador from a location / value for money perspective.

If your looking for a good value but low budget hotel The Galeon is excellent value and is right in the centre of town

The Melia is not a hike - its a pleasant 10-15 walk along the sea front into town

I agree 10-15 mins does it quite easy but stopping to take photos/ admire the views etc you don't notice the time anyway :) if you eat in town for dinner the walk is an easy way to lose a few pounds before you getback to the Melia for a coffee or a nightcap!

Sorry to disagree, the Platjador will be well under the OPs budget.

We booked the Hotel Platjador for this September many months ago but struggled to find any sites at the time that had rooms available (although we did manage eventualy) so to get 5 nights now at such short notice is most probably pushing it. Excellent hotel for you if they have got your dates available though
