Cycletour

Hello

Inspired of the Vuelta España we would like to see a little of this beatiful part of Spain.

We are in the 60's and like cycling - much easier than the Vuelta! I don't know much abolut Spain and don't know how to start planning.

We would like to drive 30-40 km a day and we like "easy" roads (and some hilly roads). We would like to cycle 14-16 days and if possibel stay 2 nights at a few places.

I don't need an itinerary but hope for some ideas.

Thank you in advance!

Lis

Ideas. Follow one of the Caminos?

Hills can be found all over Galicia.

Are you bringing your own bikes?

What time of year is this adventure.

Forgot to add in last nights posting. I know there is an area of Galicia which has mountain bike routes. By the way you have written your question I assume you are not interested in them.

No, we are not bringing our own bikes. We hope to rent some and as you did write in you last post: Not mountainbikes!

We have not decided when to go, I assume that July and August is to hot? Isn't May or June better?

Hills is OK but not mountains.

You suggest one of the Caminos, but consider that I done no NOTHING about Galicia - yet. From where to where?

Is there any websites where I can find information when I first know what to look for?

Hiring bikes will be a problem.

Probably the best to find a company which hires bikes that covers the Camino de Santiago.

The Camino is covered by a very good forum:

http://www.caminodesantiago.me/board/

Galicia is not flat so you will always find some sort of steepness in your route.

The tourism website is:
