There are a few different ways:

Taxi which is really expensive (unofficial fare is about £80, official fare is 140e in the day 167e in the evening)

Bus from La Linea to Fuengirola. It takes 2 hours and it is 9e. From there you can take the train directly in Malaga which leaves every 20 - 30 minutes. I think the cost is about 4e

Bus from La Linea to Marbella where you swop onto the airport bus. Cost is about 10e. The bus to Marbella takes 1.30hrs and the airport bus is 45 mins direct to the airport.

The website for the bus is here

www.andalucia.com/travel/bus/airport.htm

It really depends on the time of your flight and if you can get the connections on time.

Catch the train from malaga airport to maria zambrano station.(malaga) 10 mins

Bus station is round the corner from the train station. 2 min walk

There are 5 buses per day to la linea de la conception ranging from from 2 to 3 hours depending on which one you catch & the stopsit makes. .

Walk over the border into gibraltar from la linea bus station 10 mins,& jump on the hopper bus into town. 5 mins
