Grocery stores

Hi I just landed in Madrid and I'm wondering if there's any grocery stores with decent prices in Madrid. I'll be staying here for a little while so I figured I'd cook my own meals because I can't afford to eat out everyday. One preferably close to the gran via area thanks.

There is also a Carrefour in Lavapies. It's not that close, but their food is better quality for similar cost to Día. You'd have to metro though.

There's a Carrerfour Express on Calle Hortaleza, 17, just off Gran Via. Won't be open today (Sunday) though. Go to El Cortes Ingles today.
