What day trips would you take?

Hello. 2 adults visiting Madrid in September. We have time for 2 day trips and I'm curious to know where you would go. I realize there are topics posted about how to get there and what they have to offer, however I'm looking for people's personal opinions that have visited these places. We enjoy architecture and food the most, not interested in the museums however we would be interested in things like castles and churches. Thanks for the help!

When visiting Madrid we always make time for a full day trip to Toledo and another day to Segovia.

We travel on the fast train and buy tickets in advance.

These two location will most definitely meet your criteria.

Enjoy!

Marc:

My choices would be Toledo and Segovia. I have been to these two cities many times and do not tire of them.

Read about these day trips in the top questions on the right panel.
