Restaurants in San Pedro and Lo Pagan

Hi visiting San Pedo this summer with hubby and two kids (14 and 11). Any good restaurants you can recommend in San Pedro and Lo Pagan? Both the kids are happy to eat practically anything. Also, we have been to the waters in both Torreveija and Quesuda in the past, any views on the one near Murcia ?? Thanks

Sorry a bit out of your area but we like El Patio in Los Alcarez, also there is a really good restaurant called Harlequin/Clock House it is by the boat on the roundabout in San Pedro, look at this link below and you will find Clock House.

I can also recommend the beach bars on the beach by Los Alcarez, these are great for lunch.

Hi, thanks for the reply. We did drive to Los Alcarez to eat when we visited last year, I'm not sure where we were, but it was like a pedistrianised street with a Mercadona at the top - is El Patio down here. Also, where would the beach bars be if we walked down the pedistrianised street, or would it be easier to drive to the beach (although I'm not sure where to go). Thanks

Hi El Patio is at the top of the pedestrianised street away from the beach - on the other side of the road - I would also highly recommend it for good Spanish food at reasonable prices and a good atmosphere.

The beach is a couple of hundred yards straight on across the main road from the bottom of the same pedestrianised street and right at that part of the beach is the first of a number of beachside bars that do good general hot food.

About a half mile down the beach (away from San Pedro) there is a restaurant out in the sea that does both Spanish and English food which is an interesting experience - great for a cool beer on a nice sunny day!

You have to try Restaurante Venezuela (it is not the cheapest) in Lo Pagan on the promenade and also the Hogar del Pescadores (reasonable prices) in San Pedro what is a bit more hidden on the first floor of a building which also hosts the museum of sea(not very exiting exhibition ;) but the restaurant is outstanding.

Try Cafe Poniente (average cafe prices) for tapas/light snacks it is on the main road from the beach to the village, see reviews here on tripadvisor, definetely worth a visit.

Also the Clock House mentioned above is called Casa de Reloj, beautiful building and restaurant by any standards but VERY expensive and the food is not like it used to be.

Apart from these the Lonja de Pescado (fish market) has a cafe which serves fresh fish and seafood straight from the boats.

Read the restaurant reviews on this site, some of the restaurants are really disappointing, and they are even more when you have to pay the bill for a family of four and you didn't even enjoy it. I used to live and work there as a chef and do know most of the places and their behind the scenes.
