Help with Murcia Resorts....

Two women just under 40 Lol travelling to Murcia in July, can anyone advise best resort for us to stay in? Like to be lively in the evening but maybe near beach also ( in case we have no swimming pool) like upmarket resorts. Seen many Golf places to stay (upmarket accommodation, nice ) but really not sure about the areas. Don't mind a short taxi or walk into the town either.

Most the golf resorts are quite a distance to the beach so you need a car, and they are generally quite dead throughout the year.

Los Alcazares has a lovely beach and good choice of bars and restaurants, about 10 mins from SJ airport, or if you are more interested in the accommodation, then La Manga has some upmarket places to rent.

Thanks very much for your opinion, it does help when someone has actually been.

I have just booked today actually, La Manga it is ;-)

Hopefully we will have the nice accommodation and the evening entertainment all in one!

Rozzer:

La Manga has one main road that runs along the middle of the land. In July there are so many people and cars that it may take an hour to get out of the resort.

Oh dear......we are staying at Las Lomas Village which is a little bit out I think. We won't have a car so if we go out for a mooch during the day it will be walking probably and taxi in the eve if too far. Hope were not going to be too disappointed, my friend is coming all the way from Auckland for this.

Hi

Las Lomas is on La Manga Club, I think Bennymalaga meant La Manga Strip!! 2 totally different places although nearby!.

La Lomas is a bit out of the centre of the club, but you can get a shuttle bus. Its not so much the distance as the fact its set in hills, so you have distance + hill walking!!

There are a few restaurants over that side too.
