Solo traveller looking for accomodation

I am a young 50 year old going on my own 13 to 20 May.

I have fligh booked but no accomodation. Hotels seem expensive and there is no value taking an apartment on your own.

Please advise on best options, somewhere good but not overly expensive. Near the beach is a must

I never think apartments are good for solo travellers. In a hotel most people gravitate towards the bar, so makes it more sociable.

In apartments people tend to drink in the apartment. I would go for a hotel.

I recon one of the cheapest places in Benidorm is Pension La Orozca. Its in the old Town so not everyone's cup of tea but the rooms are very clean and only a 5/10 min walk to the beach. Rooms here are coming out at £102 for the week thats for a double room single occupancy, booked with www.booking.com

If I went on my own I'd rather have an appartment!

a studio or 1 bed would do.

Then I could please myself what I did when.

Palm Court is nice and central if your on your own. Unfortunately the Palm Beach is far away and up a large hill so would Not be suitable because you would need a taxi back at night.

Mont Park and Rialto hotel are usually good. It's worth looking on the Medplayer website as hotel Regente and Riudor might be on offer for twin rooms for single use.

Hi patj999

I think you would like the Hotel Mar Blau.

It is on the poniente side 3 mins next to the old town.

The Mar Blau is facing the poniente beach, it's a small basic hotel, spotless clean and all the staff are friendly.

You get both spanish and english in this hotel. The english are usually guest that return year after year

Outside the hotel facing the beach there are 4 bars.

You get a great crowd in the various bars, and everyone sits and has a good laugh and a natter watching the world go by.

The hotel is in beautiful location.

Hubby and i been sat outside in the bars many times when somebody who has traveled solo as come and joined us.

We have had some really good laughs.

It has always been a friendly area.

You can get some good deals if you shop around online.

If you did decide on this hotel, book a sea view room, you will not be disappointed

Hope this helps!
