Hotel thefts

I was recently in Benidorm, and was told more than once thathotel staff were stealing from the rooms,as they were finding it very hard to manage in these times.I wondered of anyone could tell me if this is still going on or if they had heard same themselves? I am going back there in 2 weeks, with small children, staying in ambassador this time

total rubbish that staff steal , maybe the odd one is tempted but with no jobs going in benidorm no one is going to risk there job for a bit of jewelry or a few euros ,keep your valuables in a safe dont leave anything of value out on show ,, i wouldnt worry about it ,

Most of the staff in the hotels have been there years. dont think they would risk losing their income. alot of the rumours, are pinch of salt stuff. get a hotel safe, and dont leave anything of value hanging around. sometimes thieves have got their hands on a spare key or swipe card, but this is very rare.

Had my credit cards taken out of the safe when we stopped in Ambassador, but you need a safe for insurance it states on your policy other wise not covered.

stayed in this hotel well over 25 times and NEVER had a problem with anything going missing from the rooms. though i do know of an instance with a friend of mine two years ago , that she had expensive perfume removed from her room---but she went and complained to the manager and said if it was not returned within 1 day--she would call for police--and she did not care what the manager said--she would involve police.

next day while she was at the beach--the perfume appeared in one of the cupboard drawers !!

but i think if you hire a safe and keep expensive things locked away-you should be ok
