What area is good for food & drinks?

We'll be staying just off Avenida de Europa, the top end. Where would we head to be in the general area for nice food and drinks?

We'll have our son with us who is nearly 6 months old, in theory he will sleep in his buggy but is this ok with venues? Thanks.

Stroll down Avenida de Europa, turn left along Calle Gerona and the Secret Fountain Garden is on the left,(Casino/Cafe to the right and the Marina Hotel behind).A lift goes up to the garden, good quality drinks and great snacks/meals and entertainment regularily. If you carry on along Calle gerona it gets more lively, alternatively you could turn right on Calle Gerona and head for the Old Town.

You could actually go almost anywhere in Benidorm with children,(not the square).

Enjoy

A lot of the restaurants are quite small so not a lot of room for a buggy, but three in particular, Amigos, Neils and Casa Mia all have outside seating areas, and very good food/drink. Amigos and Casa Mia both in Old Town and Neils just off the seafronts towards the Old Town.

Hi where is the square when you're walking down from the Buenavista, just so I can avoid it with my kids

a good bit away Alison u dont need to pass it at all! i can gaurantee u you will find plenty to do at top of road without going anywhere near the square ! U will have to try Secret Fountion though u pass the bottom of square for that. But during the day it's safe enough . Safe enough at night to IMO. Just gets a bit rowdy with the stag & hens most are harmless!!

Okay thanks Hazel, I'll look for the Secret Fountain. Is the square a large area and is it near the beach?

navyeye. There are a couple of very reasonably priced bars near the hotel Castilla. Cheap and cheerful is one. Near the unfinished culture centre. Some decent places on or in the locality of Calle Ibiza.

This is the link showing you 'The Square' which is Avenida Mallorca. It's just a pedestrianised area with bars and discos running the length. It's like any other street during the day and early evening. Please don't think of it as some 'no go area'. It's just not a good environment for little 'uns late on and early hours of the morning. But no responsible parent would be pushing them around bars in a buggy then anyway!
