easyjet baggage allowance

Each passenger is allowed to bring ONE cabin bag.

We guarantee that a bag up to 50 x 40 x 20cm will always travel with you in the cabin.

You can still bring a bag up to 56 x 45 x 25cm, but it’s likely that on some of our busy flights your bag may have to go in the hold

found this on easy jet site i'm assuming that you can take 1 of the above bags, advice please.

thanks in advance

The smaller size bag is guaranteed to stay with you in the cabin as it fits under the seat in front of you if the overhead lockers are full. The larger size bag may have to go into the hold if the lockers are all full, but it will be foc. Only one per person.

However when we were at San Javier airport a couple of weeks ago, the over-zealous gate staff were trying to get us all to put our smaller size bags into the hold and wouldn't listen about the EJ guarantee! As it was we all ignored them as the flight wasn't full and the overhead lockers were half empty. EJ have since informed me that it's up to the gate staff if this 'guarantee' is implemented!!!

thanks for your speedy reply as I think the smaller case would be to small, I tend to over pack.

Hi JK1952,

Some useful information here.

You can also take one standard size bag of duty free goods from the departure airport. This is in addition to the one item allowance.

thought it was brill when we went out last week daughters bag was smaller size lady at check in at edinburgh looked and said it was fine while other folks with the bigger bags was getting them taken off them at the boarding gates witch made loads of room in over head lockers for smaller ones and less hassle on landing as there was no mad rush to get your bag out witch met plane emptied a lot quicker

love it ,we take the larger case with 15k in it, as no restrictions on weight, only take/pay for 1 hold case, and anything we will need in flight is in a shoulder bag, saves us £ss
