Interesting. I don't see why those aged over 55 don't have to prove need. 55 isn't old to me - and am sure there are people in that age group who don't need them. The crackdown on mobility scooters for young people may open the door for the segway market or go-peds for those who like to race around along the promenade.

Don't, know what happened to previous post it disappeared, Back on Monday after another great fiesta week, noticed there were less scooters about than in April, the hire companies must have tightened up knowing that this was coming in this month.

New regulations have been decided but they have NOT been passed by the plento, Town hall yet. They have meetings twice a month and they hope to get it in before the end of this year, meaning it should be in force some time next year - realistically about easter time.
