Bus to Albir and Altea

Want to visit the above when next in Benidorm. I know, from forum posts, it's the No 10 bus but just a couple of questions. Where do we get the bus? I don't know the names of the roads and avenues in Benidorm but what are the directions from Helios Hotel to nearest bus stop? Is Albir the resort before Altea? Can you go to Altea and then walk back to Albir, or is it too far? How often do the buses run Nov/March? Are the bars and restaurants open in winter or is it best to visit in summer?

I noticed in a recent post someone went to Villajoyosa on the tram. We do a lot of walking but I don't recall seeing any trams. Do they run from the old town?

I would be grateful for any suggestions and information..

Come out of hotel, turn left and walk to the end .... You will pass Jokers, bar/club and hotel Presidente and the main road at the end is the main Avd Mediterraneo, where you get the No 10 from. Bus runs ap every 15/20 minutes. Take the bus to the last stop - Altea then walk down to the seafront and from there you can walk all the way along to Albir .... Probably a good 45 walk. Some places close for Winter but you won't find a shortage which are still open.

Hi, the tram/train station is some distance away. We used the no1 bus, also from Ave Mediterraneo to get to & from the station. On our way out the train waited for the bus & upon returning the bus was waiting. There is a ticket office but we used the multilingual machine to purchase tickets. There was also a ticket machine on board the train. We got off the train at stop after Villajoyosa & walked down to the promenade & along to Villajoyosa

Thanks Helen d and PARSCO for prompt replies. Good to know we don't have to walk to old town to get the bus to Altea. We'll definitely visit probably in November, as we're not having our usual break in March - we're going to Lanzarote then - unless we can get a short break in February at a good price. We sent for new passports a fortnight ago so hope they arrive soon. Thanks again.
