Rio park / Apache pass!

Hello. Thinking of booking here for a week in August. Keep hearing story's about the yellow brick road/ apache pass. Is the place safe? I have a child and would dread the thought anything happening to us. I have read previous posts but things change. Any advice welcome

This is exactly what scaremongering does. There are many places around Benidorm that can be daunting but warnings are mainly for single people after they have had too much to drink. My personal advice to you is to have your wits about you wherever you choose to book, but the Rio is a cracking base both for the new and old town.

If you are concerned about using the yellow brick road late at night you can always use the other main routes to the Rio Park avoiding this short cut.

Evenings you can go through the Rio Connection bar come out by the pool bar, we never saw anything to worry about though when we walked that way of a night, Shame to see a lot of pubs and shops closed that way.

We walked back to Rio park via yellow brick road many times ,no problems ,never seen anyone only a girl trying to get you into her bar for a drink ,just keep your wits about you ,have you thought about booking another hotel if you are frightened, hotel Helios is grill ,just returned home from it ,no yellow brick road
