Give plenty of extra time at Manchester as security checks are taking ages
Vicky, how much longer did it take you than normal,we go on 19th and wondering if we should leave earlier, cos got a realy early flight 615am and want to have eneugh time at airport for brekkie, cos if i don't feed the kids and hubby before the plane, they may turn intoo monsters lol
Or, you can pre-book Fast Track security for £3.50 per person!
Bigdrinks, ive seeing that at liverpool, infact used it there they have machines there for it,never noticed it at manchester,do you book on line or is there machines like liverpool, please
we traveled 4th July 15 minutes from check in to departure lounge (5am though)
Found it can do it online, think i will,it saved us nearly an hour at liverpool,
Mark, had they started all the extra checks,by then tho, some friends of ours flew out thursday and she text me sayeing them and everyone else was haveing to turn there mobiles on and off at security, she said it added another hour to them getting through.
Manchester is very busy with having a lot of early departures.
What happened early July is irrelevant to what's going on now. Friends flew from T2 yesterday morning. Massive slow moving queues. Alow an hour extra to your normal routine.
What makes it worse is idiots who still haven't grasped that you cant take bottles of water/coke/shampoo etc in your hand luggage through security. And folk who leave metal on their person in the form of belt buckles, coins etc.
Pre-book on the Manchester Airport website. I assume, you'd still be able to pay for Fast Track at the airport though, albeit more expensive!
Bigdrinks, thanks, but i posted again sayeing id found it online, ive already done it only costs 3.50 each, better to be safe than sorry i guess, now all ive got to do is hope everyone else doesn't do the same lol.
