La Mata

A friend has just come back from La Mata and loved it, I would like to know what the area is usually like in February, we like a break around the middle of this month. I know it probably won't be wall to wall sunshine, but is it t-shirt weather during the day and are there restaurants and pubs etc. open or is everywhere closed until later.

We don't want nightclubs, just basically sightseeing and a meal out during the evening followed by a few drinks. 40-50ish agegroup.

Feb weather can vary an awful lot, a bit like here. Can be mild and reasonably warm during the day, or you could be unlucky and find it wet, cold and windy.

Most places will be open but it won't be particularly busy.

A little bit of advice would be to make sure that the property that you rent gets the sun during the day other wise you will have a very cold apartment or house which will need heat on during the day. If its a sunny day then it normally starts getting chilly about 4pm when the sun starts to go down. You will most certainly need heating in the evenings so make sure there is adequate heating in the rental as well.
