Valenia to Barcelona Itinerary

Hi,

I'm planning a trip from to Spain starting in Valencia ending in Barcelona. Just wondering if anyone can recommend any nice place to stop off along the way for a night or two (or whether it's worthwhile doing this at all)?

Cheers

Tarragona is a good place to stop, around 1/2 way through the journey. Plenty of Roman ruins including a well preserved ampitheatre, a great old town to wander round, good shopping & some great fish restaurants down in El Serrallo, the fishing port area. Perfect for 2 nights.

Google Tarragona for more info, or look here - virtourist.com/europe/tarragona/index.html

I suggest: Peniscola, Morella, Amposta & Delta (wetlands), Tarragona.

Hi,

Peñiscola, the fortress city is a good place to stay for 2 days and make a one-day trip to El Maestrazgo area from Peñiscola visiting Morella, Sant Mateu, Forcall, etc. , you will not be dissapointed.
