Using Google Maps in Italy

just wanted to know if anyone has used printed Google Maps for car travel in Italy? I've printed out the directions between the cities and hotels I plan to visit & stay - just wanted to know if anyone has done this and if they are reliable?

Be very, very careful with Google Maps. They may be fairly reliable for highway travel, but they do not consider traffic-restricted areas (ZTLs) in cities, and if you follow them blindly, you may be whacked with fines.

For highway driving, www.viamichelin.com is more reliable. They've been in the driving business for decades; Google isn't in it at all. But be aware that Viamichelin underestimates driving times.
