international sim cards

I am traveling for 18 days to italy and france on april 30th and i will be buying an unlocked iphone to use overseas, now i will need a sim card that i can have unlimited data or a cap of 2GB, will it be cheaper to buy one online before i go or buy one at the airport or somewhere in rome when i arrive?

It is more expensive to buy online from say, Telestial, however, it may be more convenient. The only store that had it at FCO in arrivals, closed. I don't know if anything has replaced it. And then the only store upstairs is in departures - through security (unless something has changed recently). If you can wait until you get to downtown Rome, you could find a TIM, Tre, Wind or Vodafone store and buy one there. However, as I mentioned it might be more convenient to just get one before your trip.
