Train travel from Munich to Florence; day or night?

We will be traveling from Munich to Florence by train in late September. We could get a sleeper car on the overnight train, or we could take a train during the day. Is the scenery worth traveling during the day? Thanks!

You should travel by day. The route offers some of the best views in Europe and especially when you leave Innsbruck over the Brenner pass and into Italy. Sit on the left side going to Florence.
