We are planning a 30th anniversary trip to Italy next June, 2014 for 2 couples with same anniversary date. We only have 8-9 days. We want to include the typical tourism but also need to have hiking or sailing or something active included. The husbands won't be happy with just museums, cathedrals and ruins. Should we concentrate on Rome and north? Or Rome and south? Only I have been to Rome, Florence and Venice BUT it was so long ago that it doesn't really count. Suggestions for a trip that includes tourism plus something active to sooth the husbands' adventurous sides are solicited!
