Getting from Naples to Laurino In the Province of Salerno

Does anyone know how to get from Naples, Italy to the small town of Laurino (about two hours south). Are there busses? A train? Am I able to rent a Vespa for a few days and return it later? I am trying to take a small trip to discover where my great-great-grandparents were born. Any suggestions are appreciated :)

From Salerno to Laurino (and vice versa) there are two daily SITA bus on weekdays and saturdays:

From Napoli to Salerno you can take the train:

for timetables, go to www.trenitalia.com, then click on UK flag.

Or, again a SITA bus:

Thank you so much! Are the buses costly? Now on to my next question... If staying in Laurino, is there any transportation to the town of Villa Littorio? My family is from Villa Littorio (or Fogna as it was called I guess) but their last true residence (as signed on their ellis island documents) is in Laurino.

Ok.. Scratch that last question! After reviewing the bus schedule I see that some of the stops are in Villa Littorio. Thank you again for the great info!

About the fares

Salerno-Laurino one way, 5,20 euros:

Also consider the three-day ticket for tourists, 20 € (valid trough all Campania region, on "regionale" trains, buses, boats for Amalfi Coast, Ischia and Procida....):

a list of participating transport companies is at:
