Flying into Milan and plan to take trains to Vernazza then to Venice. The plan from there is to get a car somewhere and travel to northern Croatia...Plaski to see family home but just a day trip there. We also want to explore some of Slovenia and north of Venice. We want to see Rovinj but a car seems a pain there. Should we pick up a car in Trieste so that we could explore then return it and take public transport to Rovinj? Is there a better place to pick up the car that is easy...as in not driving into a city center?
