Firenze card in Florence

Is there any advantage or reason to buy the Firenze card online before traveling? Since you still have to pick it up, it seems like it mass sense to wait but wondering if I am missing something?

Just buy it at one of the locations listed on the card. This link from the Florence Forum might help:

I've been to Florence quite a few times and it is quite walkable. I've only used public transportation twice, the bus to Piazzale Michaelangelo and one to Fiesole.

The only museums with long lines were the Uffizi & Accademia, both of which you can pre-book and skip the line. The Bargello is one of my favorites, never a line but check their open days/hours.

Thank you! Do you know if the Firenze card covers the bus to Fiesole? That is where we are staying so I know we will be using that bus.
