We last used the A3 early July and there are still a number of sections of roadworks between Salerno and Cosenza, several of these are down to 1 lane in both directions for many miles. However in July the traffic was moving freely, just more slowly....

Each time we visit though more of these sections are completed...

We drove north up the A3 and had major problem with the A3 closed about half way between Lamezia and Naples. Awful diversion signed which took us about 100Km and about 4 hours!!!

Does anyone know more of these roadworks and possible better routes to avoid. How long are they going on for?
