Hi. What is the best way to get from Calabria to Fiumicino Airport?

Depends where in Calabria. Use a flights site like http://www.skyscanner.net/ to look for flights from Reggio or Lamezia Terme.

Go to www.ferroviedellostato.it/homepage_en.html and enter 'Reggio' (then choose 'Reggio di Calabria Main Station' from the drop-down option list that will arrive) and 'Fiumicino Airport'

The best journey offered has one change of train, in Roma Termini, and takes a bit over six hours. Some other journeys are much slower.

Hi Kate,

it all depends on when you want to travel. If you planning to travel in September you could even fly Reggio - Fiumicino with Air Malta (from €50 on thursdays, cheaper than the train, or €90 rest of the week):

http://www.airmalta.com/homepage

or Alitalia (not sure if they can be trusted):
