Getting around the Amalfi Coast

We are arriving in Naples on May 16th via Plane, spending 6 days in Amalfi and want to see all of the sites (Capri, Pompeii, Sorrento, Positano, and possibly Cumae depending on time) and renting a car to drive on the 21st up through Tuscany. I was thinking about renting a car.

What is the best way to travel to/from each spot on the coast?

Does public transportation stop/start after a certain time?

Are we limiting ourselves to not have a car?

Thank you so much in advance for your help!!!

No, you're not limiting yourself because you don't have a car. It's very easy to get between all those towns by bus or boat. Yes, the buses do stop in the evening, not sure of the time. You can see the schedule at sitabus.it/sitabus/campania/orarioCA2007/QUA…

We did a very similar trip last year and easily got from Naples to Capri, Positano and then Amalfi by boat. It is a stress free way to get around and take in the scenery. Driving can be pretty stessful in that part of the world
