Salerno to Amalfi with luggage

We will be staying in Salerno for a couple of nights then moving on to Amalfi.

I believe there is a bus and also a ferry we could catch. What would be the best option with luggage? Are the ferries more geared up for day trips?

Thanks

Either the ferry boat or the SITA bus would be fine with luggage. Neither is "more geared up for day trips", although the ferry is twice as fast, and twice as expensive, as the bus. There are many more buses throughout the day than ferry boats on this route. Both trips are very scenic. It is worthwhile to take the ferry boat at least in one direction, as long as sea conditions are not rough. Because there are a couple of bus stops in Salerno, the bus is more convenient than the ferry boat, which docks only at the Concordia Dock 800 meters from the train station. If you are using the UNICO COSTIERA 24-hour or3-day bus ticket, or the UNICO CAMPANIA 3T Tourist transportation ticket, none can be used on any boat or hydrofoil whatsoever.
