What to do on Saturday?

Hi

We arrive in Sorrento this coming Friday - woo woo so excited. We will spend Friday getting orientated as to where our hotel is situated, find the tourist info office, get whatever info we need etc etc. We intend spending Sunday in Sorrento, church in the morning, then lunch then a walk or by the pool or just exploring Sorrento.

We want to do one of our day trips on Saturday. We intend spending a day in Pompei/Vesuvius (or Hercalaneum/Vesuvius - haven't quite decided) a day in Capri, a day in Positano and a day for Amalfi & Ravello. Which of these four day trips should we do on a Saturday? Is it likely to be busier at the weekend? Are any of the day trips likely to be less busy than others on a Saturday?

Thanks for any guidance you can offer

1. Re: What to do on Saturday?

From our experience, Pompeii is quietest on Sundays as there are no organised coach parties on that day, so no long queues.

Also, the SITA buses to Positano and Amalfi are less frequent on Sundays than on working days.

With those two facts in mind, you may want to re-schedule your trips accordingly.

Enjoy!

WE were thinking of going to Pompei on Sunday, so that might be the way to go. Saturday we might go to Capri or Amalfi
