Amalfi to Sorrento and back

What is the fastest way to get to Sorrento from Amalfi and then back again? If it's by boat, is it relatively easy to leave from each port?

There are only two ferries each day betwen Amalfi and Sorrento, one in the morning and one in the afternoon . Beside the regular SITA bus which can be crowded there is now a new coach service which runs each hour Coast to Coast service.

Fastest way is with a personal driver.Door to door service. (The most expensive though.)

The coast to coast coach is much more comfortable than the Sita bus, that is small and could mean standing !

Should you decide on the boat, there is a lift from the Marina Piccolo to Sorrento town.
