Capri Restaurants - With Kids, Middle of the Road

Hello - we have three nights on Capri with our four kids, ages 6, 12, 14 & 17. Staying at Villa Brunella and looking for restaurant suggestions for our crew. Don't want the low end of restaurants on Capri (if there is such a thing), nor do we want to break the bank every night (this time around anyhow - last time with just the wife it was okay!). Can anyone recommend a few restaurants that might fit the bill here? Quality food, 'reasonably priced' (understanding that's a relative term on Capri), and of course authentic and kid friendly? I believe one night we should expose them to dinner on the bustling piazzetta (or at least post-dinner gelati).

Appreciate the expert opinion - we haven't been in several years. Thanks!

The restaurants on the Capri side are mostly higher end. We stayed on the Anacapri side and the restaurants on that side of the island are more reasonabl;ey priced.

One place we did used to eat at was.

Verginiello

Good Value.

Via Lo Palazzo

this is where goggle placed it.

Ate here before. noon-3pm, 7:30 midnight

credit cards. Good desserts but selcetion varies day by day.

Thanks for that - the reviews are a little sketchy, but many good ones as well. May be worth a shot, thanks.

I'm agree with Verginiello. It's a simple and authentic restaurant, nothing fancy but with good food, good price and kids friendly. A good pizzeria around the Piazzetta is "Buca di Bacco". Another evening you could go down to Marina Grande (a nice and quiete place after the day trippers leaves the island) and stop at "Lo Zodiaco". It's a nice place where you can taste both seafood and pizza.

We stayed at Villa Brunella last summer with our daughter and had a great time. It is a bit of a walk to restaurants and the piazzetta but lovely. The restaurant at Villa Brunella is amazing - by far the best meal we had in Capri. It is not cheap but I highly recommend checking it out one evening. Reservations are usually needed.

We also liked eating at Edode. One of the closer restaurants to Villa Brunella too. It was a fun place to eat and while the food was not amazing, it was decent enough for us to go twice and the restaurant was definitely child friendly.

I also second Buca di Bacco for good pizza.

Don't forget Buonocore for gelato afterwards - so yummy!

"The restaurants on the Capri side are mostly higher end."

That statement is not correct. There are restaurants of all price ranges all over the island. Menus will be posted for you to see. Beware when ordering fish. The menu price usually refers to 100 grams. The actual fish will weigh 3 or 4 times as much. Also, you might see a little asterisk next to an item. It is required by law, and means the item is frozen. Often the wonderful "fresh" fish, isn't.

Thanks for the update on Edode. We were planning to go back there next month, so maybe we'll try the new place instead.
