Buying artecard at archaeological museum?

I promise I have done a full search before posing yet another artecard question. From other postings I have figured out that the 3 day would be economical for us in May.

Can we purchase it at archaeological museum ( which happens to be near our hotel)?

It is clear on artecard website that we can purchase online and PICK UP at the museum. But can we actually purchase there? Has anyone done this recently?

I know we can purchase at Naples train station, but don't want to put it off until we are on way to Pompeii. Appreciate your help.

And I guess as fallback we can purchase online and walk over to museum to pick up. I just don't want to purchase before we get to Naples as it is nonrefundable. Thx.

With the proviso that we've not bought one for years, yes - you should be able to!

Down in the fine print at the lower right of the screen, "in the museums and archeological sites of artecard circuit and at the infoponit situated in the central rail station."

No idea quite when they take effect, or what they'll be, but some changes are planned for this year - including a new price (of €32 perhaps) for that version!
