Is there an aqueduct with a fountain on Gianicolo hill?

I have been trying to locate the name and location of a sight I visited on a tour a few years ago. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

1. Re: Is there an aqueduct with a fountain on Gianicolo hill?

The Acqua Paola (also called Fontanone di Acqua Paola) is at the top of the Gianicolo Hill. It has recently been restored, gleaming, monumental, powerful water flow. It was built by Paul V in the 1600s to honor his restoration of the Acqua Traiana adqueduct.

Find it easily on Via Garibaldi near the Porta S. Pancrazio. It is lit up to great effect at night.
