Trenitalia.com

The Circumvesuvianna train from Sorrento to Naples is only a few euros and takes about an hour.

The train from Naples to Rome costs perhaps 18 to 30 euros, depending on the particular train and class you choose.

Hi Eternal

we did an organised 2 day trip from Sorrento to Rome 3 years ago which was very good value about 140 euros with lovely hotel stay. That was with Thomsons, but we noticed loads of trips in travel agents windows a little cheaper too. We also got a tour guide for the 2 days too.

Are you kidding. E140 for two days including hotel? I've been seeing prices higher than that just for a ride. What mode of transport did you use? Any other details would also be appreciated.

Thanks, in advance, for any tips.
