You will find branches of Il Papiro which sells marbled papers, cards and notelets, fine writing paper, decorated boxes, leather bound journals and diaries and writing pens. It is a chain of stores with others in Florence and Venice.

Ah, now your talking my language...writing paper and diet coke.

Some of my favorite paper places:

Ditta G. Poggi, 74 Via del Gesù is an art store with handmade papers of all weights and hues.

Fabriano paper, via del Babuino, 173, is a famous paper store with gorgeous sketchbooks, too. 800 year old manufacturer with hand and machine made papers.

Other good options: Cartolerie del Pantheon, Antica Cartotecnica...

Fabriano paper originates near my home. If you're ever in Le Marche, they have a fabulous English language tour of their old paper mill, now a museum. They even operate the ancient mechanisms that were used to make paper out of rags, before wood pulp was used.
