Vatican tour

I am interested in a Vatican tour. It appears there are many different companies, but I would like to know if anyone can recommend from personal experience. we are a group of 6 age 15-79.

Thanks

Why not use the one that is offered by the Vatican Museum itself: www.vatican.va

Looks like Nancy and her friends are on the forums touting her site. Advertising is not permitted.

I second what Sydney says about the vatican sponsored tours. They are very good and inexpensive.

Angel Tours will likely give the 6 of you a private guide, all Irish students working as guides...very knowledgable although it will probably cost around $300 Euro

sydneynick is right, take the 2 hour tour offered by the Vatican. Cost is 30 Euros and you skip waiting in line.

We took the tour in 2007 and the guide was excellent. When exiting the Sistine Chapel, exit to the right to enter St. Peter's Basilica without going through security again.

We also used Angel Tours last year. There were 4 of us and the cost with a student was about $A300, about E150. We all really enjoyed it and the guide was very knowledgable

Used Angel Tours in 2007, and again 3 weeks ago. Very good for all their tours, and the guides are very knowlegable and also make it fun and interesting. Not cheap, but worth it, as it saves you going round with your head in a guide book. You also go straight into the Vatican Museums without having to queue.
