best hotel/neighbourhood for 50's to stay

Iscampo de fiore (sp), around trevi fountain or near the pantheon a better place to stay for 6 days? we really want to be in a lively area, but not too loud at night. More like St. germaine area in Paris?

All of these areas are lively. If you don't want noise, you should stay a street or two away from the respective piazzas. If the hotel site doesn't have a map, put the address in maps.google.com.

Choose the Pantheon or Navona areas for lively, but elegant and reasonable at night. The Trevi and Campo are lively, but many would agree a bit too lively. Of course it all depends exactly where your hotel is. A hotel two blocks away from the Trevi would be very quiet, etc.
