3 Days in Rome

Such a short time with so much to see! Looking for suggestions on how and what to see in 3 days. Will the Vatican take 1 full day? Has anyone gone on Wednesday when the Pope says mass outside? Is it worth it? Traveling with 6 people w/varied interests so any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks, anything would be appreciated!

It would be more helpful if you let us know what your interests are. The more specific you are the better we can help you plan.

The vatican can take the better part of a whole day. I have not done the papal audience but many on this forum have. Only you can say if it is worth it or not.

You should get your group of 6 together with a good guide book or two and list all the sites that interest you. Then put a priority number on them. Once you have a list of "must see's" and a list of "would like to see if we have time" it will be easier to help arrange them. Also the ages of the people in the group (kids, teens, young adults, older adults) will help out too. And let us know the area you are staying in.

Yes on what Donna says. If for some reason you can't get together, make sure all of you spend sometime on google and have some idea on what you guys want to do. Have fun

The papal audience on Wednesday isn't a mass. I once was there years ago, but without tickets, so we were standing in the back. If we had brought binoculars, I could have seen the pope.
