The Appian Way, Baths of Diocletian bs Caracalla & Roma Pass

Just wondering if anyone would have any feedback - is it worth going out and wandering along Appian Way if we only have 3.5 days to explore Rome?

Secondly what are some opinions on the baths? Is one more highly recommended over the other?

Also - the Roma Pass - I have read that you can purchase it in the Termini Station, but it is really hard to find? Does anyone have any directions for locating it when we arrive in Termini?

Thanks in advance!

The Roma Pass can be picked at at a lot of places. See amp

I haved not picked mine up ever at Termini.

If you want to see real Roman Baths go see the Baths of Caracalla. The baths of Diocletian are just a museum now and not very Bath-like. To get to the Baths of Caracalla, take Metro B from Termini in the direction of Laurentina. Get off at Circo Maximo. It's walkable from there.

If you are in Rome on a sunday, the Appian way is fun. It is closed to traffic and you can walk down it easily. You can catch bus 118 at the Piramide Metro to go to it; it runs on Sunday. Take the bus down it a ways and walk back or vice-versa.

on weekdays between the St Sebastian gate and the Tomb of Cecilia Metella on the Appian way there isn't a lot of shoulder to walk and you could get creamed by the cars

See the massive arch in the background from the Baths of Caracalla
