What to do in Rome if already seen Vatican and spanish steps

We are stopping on a cruise for one day in Rome. Already saw Vatican and Spanish steps. Any suggestions for quaint villages or shopping areas. No museums or churches this time please. Appreciate any other suggestions,

The Colosseum and Roman Forum?

The Pantheon?

Piazza Navona?

Via del Corso for shopping.

From the port, take the train to Trastevere. Get lost and explore. Enjoy the narrow streets, the shops, and the food. Set the alarm clock so you know when to return.

Eating gelatos, shopping and wandering around the narrow streets? :)

Both in Rome

Trevi Fountain is very fun and something the kids should love to, and The Colisseum is a must if you have not been there. Good luck and have fun. Hubie

Hi dbabe,

You suggested the Knights of Malta keyhole. Can you give some more info ... what is it? where is it located?

Thanks

One day...cruise stop usually means about 5-6 hours on the streets before heading back to the boat...I believe. See the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and Campo di Fiori, have lunch on the go or any restaurant not near the sites listed above (eh, on second hand why not!) Have a gelato or two... leisurely stop and check-out a shop or twelve. Take lots of pictures...get lost for 30 minutes...stay away from the Colisseum on this visit, you don't have time for the tour. Forget the Borghese Park...it will eat up what time you have, and it is sorta out of the way. Ostia Antica...really?
