Cheap-Real Rome-Italian Food :)

The best way to understand a place is to taste its food, in my opinion.

So, I look for restaurants which are cheap and serve real, typical Rome-Italian food. They may be hidden restaurants, maybe not many people know it.

Dou you have any recommendation?

A few years old now, so do cross-check times, days, prices etc, but this is a nice little leaflet listing restaurants that specialise in Rome's traditional cuisine:

First time I've seen this brochure -- thanks for posting about it. Looking forward to trying a couple of new places (as well as old favorites) next month.

Glad you've found it useful!

With the same provisos, try the "I Ristorante" tab here, for similar lists of places elsewhere that also specialise in their local cuisine...

Visit Pizerria Luzzi at Via Di San Giovanni In Laterano 88 (tripadvisor.in/Restaurant_Review-g187791-d11…) It is remarkably cheap and I very much enjoyed the food there. Especially the tiramisu was divine. Make sure you get there early, because a line of waiting customers tends to form quite soon....
