Hi, spending a couple of nights in Grottaferrata with my husband in May and hope to travel by train from Frascati in and out of Rome. Please could somebody advise if this is easy to do and also if I book the Romapass does the travel part of this cover our travel out as far as Frascati or is it only for the City itself?

Also we want to book car hire from there as don't really want to drive in the centre of Rome, could you advise where would be the easiest place to pick a car up from.

Thanks in advance.

1. Re: Grottaferrata

The Roma Pass does not cover travel to Frascati; it only covers travel as far as the stations shown in red here:

You can find the fare at www.trenitalia.it/; use a time more than six hours and less than seven days in advance to see fares. If you plan to go into Rome often, a one-week pass for 23 Euro might be worth it.

The closest place to rent a car would be at Ciampino airport.
